Skill Cache Chrome Extension — Last updated April 28, 2026

Overview

Skill Cache is a personal toolkit manager that helps you save and organise tools, prompts, and categories. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how.

What data is stored

Skill Cache stores only the data you explicitly enter: tools (name, URL, description, notes, tags), prompts (title, text, model, tags), and categories. This data is saved using chrome.storage.sync, which is provided by Google Chrome and synced across your signed-in Chrome devices via your Google account.

What we do not collect

Skill Cache does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information with the developer or any third party. There are no analytics, no tracking, no external servers, and no account system. All data lives entirely within your browser and your Google account's sync storage.

Third-party services

Tool cards display site favicons loaded from Google's public favicon service (www.google.com/s2/favicons). This request sends only the domain name of the tool's URL to Google — no personal data is involved.

Data removal

You can delete any entry at any time from within the extension. Uninstalling Skill Cache removes all locally stored data. To clear synced data, you can also clear Chrome sync data from your Google account settings.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date at the top.
